Royal Enfield Bullet-The Indian Cult ?

Royal Enfield Bullet-The Indian Cult ? Find out !!

Despite the fact that Royal Enfield has been producing motorcycles for over 100 years, it operates in relative obscurity within the American motorcycling scene. Classic Motorworks, the exclusive licensed distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in the US, is looking to change all that by bringing the “Royal Enfield Experience” to the masses. The company will be offering demo rides on the newest versions of Royal Enfield motorcycles at two of the most popular motorcycle rallies on the East Coast, Americade and Laconia.

The first stop will be in Lake George, New York from June 7-12 for Americade 2010. Then it’s off to New Hampshire for the 87th annual Laconia Motorcycle Week from June 12-20. Between the two, Royal Enfield has the opportunity to reach out to hundreds of thousands of potential buyers. Although the company’s Bullet model has the distinction of being the longest continuously produced motorcycle, Royal Enfield is eager to show off the bike’s revamped engine and enhanced design. The company is hoping that allowing riders to see the bikes up close and personal and to participate in extended group demo rides will attract more enthusiasts to its new model line. Members of Royal Enfield’s USA management team will be on hand to field any questions and any riders over 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a motorcycle endorsement are welcome to take a demo ride.

“Many riders are searching for a new motorcycle that delivers retro style, solid reliability, and outstanding value. They’re also looking for something a lot more unique than what’s offered by most larger brands. These are the riders that really need to experience the new Royal Enfield. Even among riders who are familiar with Royal Enfield, very few have had the opportunity to experience these outstanding new motorcycles first-hand. Bringing the Royal Enfield Experience to these popular events will help us change that and introduce today’s Royal Enfield to a whole new group of riders,” says Kevin Mahoney, President of Royal Enfield USA.

Royal Enfield, founded in Redditch, England in 1901, has a devout following overseas. The company started out as a division of the British arms-making company, Royal Small Arms Factory, and its legacy as a manufacturer of weapons reflects in its logo, a cannon, and in the use of model names like the long-standing Bullet. In 1955, manufacturing of the brand moved to its new headquarters in Chennai, India.
